American Airlines taps Apple Music for in-flight entertainment
American Airlines and Apple Music have closed a deal that will give passengers access to the full library of Apple Music songs on AA flights.
Apple Music’s more than 50 million songs will be available on any domestic American Airlines flight equipped with Viasat satellite Wi-Fi at no extra cost to customers, marking the first commercial airline to offer exclusive access to Apple Music via in-flight Wi-Fi.

SoundCloud Revenue Jumped 80 Percent to $102 Million in 2017
SoundCloud increased revenue by 80 percent and suffered smaller losses over the course of 2017, according to an annual report filed to the UK’s Companies House this week. The company reported earnings of €90.7 million ($102 million) for the year, up significantly from €50.3 million in 2016, an improvement it attributed to growth in its creator and listener businesses. Operating losses were €51.4 million, down from €70.5 million the year prior.

Marshmello makes history with first ever Fortnite in-game concert
Millions of people are thought to have tuned into a concert by DJ Marshmello in the wildly popular online game Fortnite.
The American electronic music producer and DJ performed live in the game at 2pm EST on Saturday, in a virtual reality spectacle that was lauded by fans.

SiriusXM Completes $3.5BN Acquisition of Pandora
It’s a done deal.
Sirius XM Holdings Inc. has confirmed today (February 1) that it has completed its $3.5bn all-stock acquisition of Pandora Media.
With the transaction complete, SiriusXM says it is now “the world’s largest audio entertainment company” with “strong, long-term growth opportunities”.
