Amon Tobin | On a Hilltop Sat the Moon | Nomark
Amon Tobin has a long history as one of the most exciting and innovative musicians in electronic music, having released 7 full albums with the label Ninja Tune since 1996. Amon is now fully independent and will be releasing his work under his own label No Mark. He also has plans to partner with multiple directors for a series of short films. His live shows are high production, see his last live set ISAM here. He plans to play live but likely not until the 2020 festival season.
“No one evolves sound quite like Amon Tobin. On ‘Fear in a Handful of Dust’ you can almost imagine him examining and polishing each sound he uses, like a jeweller inspecting his gems through an eyepiece, before placing them back into the mix in just the right place to create a sonic experience of captivating abstracted beauty.”
– Mark Roland, Editor, Electronic Sound Magazine
Kari Faux | LEAVE ME ALONE
“Leave Me Alone is about being depressed and feeling like people only hit you up to know what cool things are happening for you but not caring to know the state of your mental. My phone gives me anxiety a lot of the time. Sometimes I wish I could throw my phone into the woods somewhere so no one can reach me.”
– Kari Faux
Rat City | Kind of Love
Sitting between Daft Punk & Chic is Rat City, an animated artist in the style of the Gorillaz. “Kind of Love” is their debut single, although they have already worked with Mike Posner, Blackbear, Selena Gomez, and Stargate. KOL is a dancefloor anthem for the nu disco generation.
The brothers Kent and Cato Sundberg hail from Dramman, Norway, and are also part of the synthpop group Donkeyboy. They are managed by veteran electronic music manager Richard Bishop, who has also represented stalwart artists The Crystal Method, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, and Borgore.
Emily Vaughn | Dead 2 Me
Emily Vaughn has quickly made her presence known in the pop industry. With her sassy one-liners and authentic transparency, Emily is bound to ascend to the graces of pop stardom. Her music has been featured on Spotify’s “New Music Friday” worldwide multiple times, and she has been praised by the likes of The Fader, Conan O’Brien, and Buzzfeed, who named her the #1 emerging act of 2018. Now in LA, Emily is hard at work on the best music of her career with her first full length project, ‘Bitch Bops’, coming early 2019.
