Symphonic is proud to announce the launch of Bodega Sync, our official one-stop sync licensing house. With this new brand, our representatives will work to pitch material from record labels and artists signed to Symphonic, as well as not signed to Symphonic for placement in film, tv, and other mediums.
Sync Licensing, we’ve heard about it, right?
Sync Licensing is a common form of music licensing. It enables artists to enter a billion-dollar market and secure placements across TV shows, video games, films, and more. We are thrilled to announce that we have extended our boutique distribution and marketing services into this market through our sync-licensing arm, Bodega Sync.
Some of our clients have earned thousands of dollars through placements across HBO, ABC, Fox, and other major networks. Moving forward, we’ll be able to provide direct access to a more robust sync division. We see this as a valuable opportunity for our clients to work with experts in the industry who have extensive experience in this intricate market.
How does the deal work and what does it look like?
Bodega plans to work with artists that own the full rights to their tracks. Deals will be exclusively signed with artists for Bodega to represent 100% of their publishing and master rights. This offers one-stop shopping straightforward licensing.
Symphonic Distribution’s Sr. Director of Sync Licensing, Jon Mizrachi, commented on the future of Bodega “Our immediate goal is to continue to grow our roster, sign some marquis artists and work towards becoming a go-to fixture within the music supervision community. We also hope that Bodega becomes an avenue for great new artists and labels to sign with Symphonic for distribution and marketing.”

So, what does this mean for creatives?
Jon Mizrachi will lead the charge at Bodega. His extensive background will enable him to provide a wealth of knowledge for artists interested in sync. He will use his expertise to hand select sync-friendly artists. With his guidance, our clients will be set up for success within the sync realm.
You might be wondering what sync-friendly means.
This essentially means, is your music right for an ad or film? The song needs to fit projects in a way that makes sense. If you’re interested in pitching for sync, it may be worth considering research on specific projects. If you’re creating tracks for sync, you may need to alter your song for the big screen.
What’s the plan, Symphonic? How do I take part in this?
We have plans to integrate existing and new clients into this unique division of our company. Soon enough, SymphonicMS will have the option for artists to apply to Bodega Sync within the platform. Additionally, the Bodega team has direct access to our extensive clientele roster giving them the ability to source out artists they think would be a good fit. We value a personalized approach.
We’re stoked to be on this journey with everyone. Keep up the good work and keep on creating.
– The Symphonic Team
