Beatport to merge the Glitch Hop genre page to the Breaks genre page effective this Thursday, February 28th.
How does this impact Symphonic clients?
If you are submitting tracks and/or releases for availability under Glitch Hop, you can continue to select the Glitch Hop subgenre as a secondary genre when setting up releases for delivery.
How does this impact your tracks?
The tracks and releases with Glitch Hop selected as the secondary genre will begin populating under the Breaks genre as Beatport merges these genres.

Genre Additions to Beatport and Traxsource
We also thought it would be helpful to note the recent genre additions to both Beatport and Traxsource. These genres are now available for selection upon uploading your releases to both DSPs in the Symphonic Management System:
- Melodic House – Beatport
- Melodic Techno – Beatport
- Jackin’ House – Beatport
- Trap – Beatport
- Classic House – Traxsource
- Soulful House – Traxsource
