SPOTIFY WILL COME PRE-INSTALLED ON MILLIONS OF NEW SAMSUNG DEVICES
Spotify will come pre-installed on millions of new Samsung mobile devices starting March 8.
Additionally, eligible customers with select Samsung devices in the US will qualify for six months of free Spotify Premium.
Announcing the news on its ‘For the Record’ blog today, Spotify said that the move is the ‘next step in its strategic relationship with Samsung Electronics’ after it became Samsung’s ‘go-to music service provider’ in August 2018.

SIRIUSXM CREATES PROGRAMMING TEAM TO OVERSEE CONTENT ON PANDORA
SiriusXM has announced the creation of a dedicated Content team to bring their model of programming to the Pandora platform.
The team will report to SiriusXM Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein and be responsible for creating music, sports, and talk content for Pandora listeners including some repurposed from SiriusXM and others that will be reused by SiriusXM.

Spotify adds 1 million unique listeners in India in less than a week
Spotify Technology SA, the world’s most popular paid music streaming service, said it racked up more than 1 million unique users in India across its free and premium tiers since launching less than a week ago.
Spotify launched in India on Tuesday, stepping into a price-sensitive market crowded by well-funded players such as Reliance Industries’ JioSaavn and Apple’s Apple Music.

Apple Music Is Creating Customized ‘Album Artwork’ for Thousands of Playlists
Apple reached out to several high-profile designers of album art, from the creator of the AC/DC logo to the designer of Migos’ album, Culture.
Rachel Newman, Apple’s global director of editorial, says the new artwork is meant to connect directly with the communities for which it is intended.
Playlists on Apple Music have always had a uniform presentation across genres. This new visual update gives these playlists a far zippier visual look.
