YOUTUBE MUSIC ROLLS OUT FREE, AD-SUPPORTED SERVICE FOR GOOGLE HOME USERS
A free, ad-supported YouTube Music service has been rolled out for Google Home users.
Starting today (April 18), the free service is available on smart speakers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Japan, the Netherlands, and Austria and will be available in more countries soon.

FREE AMAZON MUSIC STREAMING SERVICE NOW LIVE VIA ALEXA IN THE UNITED STATES
It’s been a big week for ‘free’ music.
First, yesterday (April 18), Google announced that a limited version of its YouTube Music service is now available out of the box on Google Home smart speakers.
Then, as expected, Amazon’s first ever free-to-users music streaming offering officially went live in the United States.

SiriusXM Turns Its Talk Shows Into Pandora Podcasts
Starting today (April 16), nearly two dozen SiriusXM programs will be available to Pandora listeners as podcasts.
The repurposed shows, located within the new Podcasts on Pandora platform, span entertainment, talk, comedy, music and sports programming hosted by SiriusXM talents like Andy Cohen, Ricky Gervais, Kevin Hart, Hoda Kotb, Jenny McCarthy, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo and Sway. On the music end, the list includes music historian Eddie Trunk’s Trunk Nation, Mark Goodman and Alan Light’s Debatable and Nik Carter and Lori Majewski’s Feedback, along with long-form segments of talk show Sway in the Morning.

Bandcamp Announces New Vinyl Pressing Service
Bandcamp has announced a new service that allows artists to launch crowdfunding campaigns for vinyl releases. Once a campaign reaches its minimum goal, Bandcamp will press and ship the vinyl record directly to fans. Artists will maintain full control of the record’s design as well as its price. The service—which aims to streamline the “financing, production, and fulfillment of vinyl records”—is set to launch for all artists and labels later this year.
