Spotify has entered into a partnership with US-based telco AT&T to offer the latter’s biggest-paying customers long-term premium subscriptions.
Starting tomorrow (August 9), AT&T Unlimited & More Premium customers can select a Spotify Premium subscription from one of seven premium entertainment options for free.

YouTube Is Now Allowing Subscribers to Download 1080p Videos for Offline Viewing
In a bid to make its subscription service more attractive, YouTube has increased its offline playback resolution.
YouTube Premium subscribers get access to perks like no ads, videos playing in the background, and offline playback. But until recently, videos downloaded for offline use could only be 720p resolution, even if the source video was higher.
YouTube was supposed to raise the download quality limit to 1080p in February. Now the feature has finally rolled out. Android Police first spotted the feature on an Android TV device, while someone else had the option on an iPhone. It seems like the feature is rolling out to all YouTube Premium subscribers in waves.

Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour Is Officially the Highest-Grossing Concert Tour of All Time, Beating Out U2’s 360 Tour
Ed Sheeran’s ongoing Divide Tour just became the highest-grossing tour of all time — and counting. Ticket prices were far lower than most other top-ranked tours.
The ranking comes from Pollstar, which emailed its findings to Digital Music News this morning.
According to the concert tracking company, Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour crossed $736.7 million in estimated gross revenues today (Friday, August 2nd) with its stop in Hannover, Germany. That beats U2’s all-time record of $735.4 million, set on July 30th, 2011.
