Get to know Zach Matari
Humble, kind, courteous and authentic are just a few of the words you will hear fans use to describe Zach Matari!
Independent singer-songwriter Zach Matari, known for his single “Mirror,” gained popularity as the viral-hit broke barriers, lyrically addressing body image positivity and body confidence. The track, which released in October 2017, was written by Matari as a request from BitesizedFitness to be performed at their “Positive Body Image Fashion Show” promoting inclusion within the fashion industry. An avid anti-bullying advocate, Matari felt strongly about the opportunity to use his art and voice to spread awareness about the cause. The video released of the fashion show and Matari’s performance of “Mirror,” garnered over 15 million views across social media grabbing the attention of mainstream media outlets including: Huffington Post, Yahoo, AOL, Women’s Health, MTV, SELF, Cosmopolitan and many more around the world.
Originally from New Jersey, Matari released his first original EP, “Day One,” in March of 2016, which premiered at #5 on the iTunes R&B charts and was featured on the “Top 100” overall on iTunes as well as #7 on the Billboard “Heat-Seekers” chart. His singles, “Up To You” & “When The Levee Breaks” won best R&B and LOVE song for The John Lennon Song Writing Contest.
Touring across the country, Matari has had the opportunity to share the stage with renowned artists including Ellie Goulding, Fetty Wap, Ziggy Marley, Fifth Harmony, Mario, R5, Sabrina Carpenter and Jacob Whitesides, gaining recognition within the music industry and continuing to build his fan base.
Using his passion for music to give back to the community, Matari is an active member of Musicians on Call, bringing the healing power of music to children’s hospitals around the country, offering live, in-room performances to patients undergoing treatment.
Utilizing the freedom of social media to connect with fans, Matari keeps subscribers up to date with musical covers, remixes and new releases on his YouTube channel, posting weekly content every Monday as part of the Matari Mondays series. In addition to his solo career, Matari joined forces with DJ Dramos, forming DJ duo, The 9Ds, producing fresh tempo-dance remixes with Jersey Club-R&B-Pop sound. Continuing to carve out his own lane as a soul-pop artist, Matari is currently working on his second solo EP, expected to release later this year.

Zach is an advocate for Anti-Bullying and has been on the road with the Teen Nation Tour, a peer-to-peer community service program to educate and entertain youth about bullying in a way students can relate – through music. To date, Zach has spoken and performed for over 40,000 students and hopes to continue spreading his anti-bullying message throughout the country. Zach is an active member of Musicians On Call, delivering the healing power of music to children’s hospitals around the country. Zach has been visiting patients in hospitals in the NY & LA area delivering live, in-room performances to patients undergoing treatment or who are unable to leave their beds.
