Back in May, Twitter lit up with people asking, “Why the f*ck did Spotify remove the Appears On section from artists’ profiles?” To say the least, people were pissed. However, you can go ahead and wipe away those angry tears. Spotify has finally brought back its coveted “Appears On” feature. Here’s the rundown…
Spotify Finally Brings Back “Appears On” Feature
What is the “Appears On” feature?
If you missed the memo, the “Appears On” section directs users to other artists and collaborations an artist has appeared on, many of which don’t come up on their own main profile.
Considering that discoverability is one of the biggest pro’s about Spotify, removing this feature was a nightmare for vocalists and remixers everywhere whose work suddenly disappeared from countless profiles featuring their music.
You Spoke Up. Spotify Listened.
Thankfully, so many people spoke up about how outraged they were about the elimination of this feature that Spotify has finally listened. After users created a ticket on Spotify’s Community page and garnered over 800 votes to bring it back, they finally did.
