Get to know Jojo Hailey
Just when you thought it couldn’t get better, it gets great. Not only did legendary R&B artist JoJo Hailey make a dynamic comeback this year with the release of his first ever solo single “Special”, but he also announced the launch of his very own record label JT Entertainment. Since then, he’s kicked things up a notch with the official remix to “Special”, produced by Mike Smoov, which features none other than beloved rapper and entertainer Snoop Dogg.
The track does what JoJo does best; it spreads a message of love through tribute to the special woman in his life, his wife, Tashaunda Hailey. In the remix, the refreshing blend of Pop and R&B delivers JoJo’s signature sound which pairs seamlessly with the smooth lyrical styles of Snoop. Giving listeners nothing but good vibes, Snoop Dogg gets vulnerable with lyrics like “See patience is a virtue, I see you flirt boo, I wanna love you I don’t wanna hurt you”, showing us how important it is to let your lover know that when it’s true love, they can truly trust you.
In “Special”, JoJo is not shy to talk about how good he has it with lyrics like “Everyday’s special, so thankful I met you. I’m never letting go”. There’s no reason the love can’t continue past Valentines Day. At a time when the world needs it the most, we can rely on JoJo and Snoop Dogg to stay devoted with a remix that keeps you dancing from beginning to end. The success JoJo experienced from the original release of “Special” on Valentine’s Day was tremendous. Landing a Billboard premiere and exclusive interviews with KDay LA, Hip Hop DX, Rolling Out plus many more, the song proved to be a hit right from the start.
JoJo Hailey plans to release a string of singles leading up to his first solo debut album in 2020. The comeback is exciting and invigorating for JoJo – following several downward spirals with alcohol and health related issues, JoJo feels grateful for the chance to start fresh by putting his own music and his family first. His wife, Tashaunda aka Tiny has stood by his side through years of ups and downs; now being co-founder of their family-owned record label JT Entertainment. The love and devotion from JoJo Hailey’s fans stems back to his days with the beloved Jodeci as well as legendary R&B duo K-Ci & JoJo. Hits like “All Of My Life” peaked at #1 on multiple Billboard charts and was nominated for two Grammy awards. Needless to say, JoJo Hailey is no stranger to success and we expect nothing less in 2020.
