Started back in 2017, Earth n Days are the DJ/Producer duo behind some of the most addicting internationally acclaimed house music. In addition to their playlist takeover, we went ahead and asked the duo about some of their greatest influences, insights and more. — Here’s what they said…
Who/ what got you into music?
Zsak: My parents realized that i have a talent for music when I was just a kid. They enrolled me in a local music school where I spend about 11 years of my life. I started to listen to House music in the beginning of the 00’s, and it stole my heart immediately. — I think it was the point when I truly recognized that music and the work of producing music was definitely for me.
Laszlo: When I was young, I was a fan of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. I don’t know how, but that’s what eventually turned me into a Disco music lover. That was around the time when I first started Djing professionally. My first remix was released in 2003, and I was actually very happy about it. “See a piece of my own music” was my only dream at the time. I finally met with Zsak for the first time in 2010, and we have been working together ever since. Music has become our life.
What advice would you give to other artists trying to make it in the industry?
Our labels are receiving lots of demos, which regularly contain basic mistakes. Plenty of youngsters try to get knowledge from tutorials and instructional videos, but I think a well-founded instrument knowledge is necessary for professional work. It makes the work faster and infallible. On top of that, they should aim to be more precise, more up-to-date, and practice continuously.
Our last piece of advice… never be satisfied with the level you’re at. With practice and dedication, you are always capable of creating something even more special.
What’s your favorite track on the playlist and why?
Our favorite track on the playlist is definitely “Just Be Good To Me” . It was a breakthrough for us, and was named the Best House Track on Beatport in 2020 and now counts more than 2 million streams on Spotify.
Certainly it will be our all-time favorite, and we will play this track proudly every single time we perform.
If you could be a fruit, what fruit would you be and why?
We would be bananas, because then we could travel around to world from Ecuador through Europe to China without a negative COVID test.
