Get to know Cool Company
Cool Company is an independent Future R&B duo comprised of dynamic vocalist, COOL YAN, & multi-instrumentalist/producer, THANKYOUFATMATT. By seamlessly blending elements of R&B, Funk, Soul, Pop & Hip Hop, Cool Company has been able to strike a remarkable balance between mellow serenades & funkified grooves. Independently they have garnered over 42M streams across their catalog and had sync placements across shows on HBO, ABC, Netflix and featured in ad campaigns for Samsung, Amazon Prime Video, Hi-Chews Candy & others.
Influenced by artists like Outkast, Frank Ocean, & Stevie Wonder, Cool Company has been constantly evolving since dropping their debut album, Slice of Paradise in Oct. of 2016. Since then, they have released a slew of new music including official remixes for NoMBe, Linda Diaz & Cook Thugless and Cool Company originals, led by their funky 2020 breakout single, Floatin (feat. Nic Hanson), which has done over 1.5M streams since being released in May 2020 and been prominently featured on Spotify’s Nu-Funk playlist.
Cool Company returns with another funk forward single in Who Knows, a focus track off of their forthcoming album arriving in late May 2021. Who Knows is an upbeat lullaby that puts uncertainty to rest while leaning into and embracing the fact that sometimes, all you know is that you don’t know.
