In addition to the playlist takeover, we had a great conversation with Emily Vaughn about her influences, personal insights, and more. Here’s what she said…
1.) Who/ what got you into music?
“I grew up singing in the church choir and writing music since I learned how to speak. I don’t really think there’s a world where I wouldn’t have gotten into music in some way or another, it’s been who I am and how I express myself for as long as as I remember.”
2.) What advice would you give to other artists trying to make it in the industry?
“Don’t give up. stay focused on your dream and don’t let anyone else’s success discourage you from working on your own. Your time is coming.”
3.) What’s your favorite track on the playlist and why?
“Probably ‘High Waist Jeans’ by Julia wolf. I just discovered her but I’ve been super into her lately!”
4.) If you could be a fruit, what fruit would you be and why?
“Pineapple. For obvious reasons!”
