Meet Your Panelists
David Ecker, Artist & Label Partnerships, US Indie (Spotify)
As a member of Spotify’s US Indie team, David Ecker works with artists and labels to help them maximize their presence on the platform. He has been at Spotify for 6 years and was previously a member of the Artist Management team, as well as the Artist Services team. He is based in NY and is also an avid jazz pianist and composer.
Michael Burrows, Head of Client Marketing (Symphonic)
Michael Burrows is Symphonic’s Head of Client Marketing. His team operates in two critical lanes for the company’s clients; managing relationships with the DSP partners on one side, and devising and executing digital marketing strategy and support services on the other. He has been blessed by Symphonic with a collective of insightful mentors leading him, and a team of inquisitive, “swiss-army knife” type world changers at his side.
Prior to joining the team at Symphonic, Michael has directed digital strategy and creative development at major record labels, distributors, and management companies including Universal Music, Capitol Records, Caroline, A&M/Octone Records, and with his own company. He is an insatiable music consumer and an avowed media nerd.
