Users on Pinterest have been asking for a way to implement more video content into their Pins for years. Now, this new feature and various partnerships are making that happen. Back in October, Pinterest implemented their new “Idea Pin” feature for creators along with an announcement of multitude of partners (Symphonic, included!) to lead the way. Here’s the rundown…

What’s New?
Pinterest’s video-focused “Idea Pins” feature includes the ability to add popular tracks from top artists, thanks to new licensing deals with many labels and distributers, including us! With this new launch, Pinterest says there will be thousands of new tracks available from artists all over the world.
This new feature is meant to upgrade Pinterest’s features to be comparable to TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other short-form video apps. This gives artists yet another platform for creative collaboration and content creation!
“Pinterest is one of the world’s most popular platforms. For music to now be a legitimate and licensed component of the service will create a new and exciting way to consume, share, and experience music. We’re thrilled to have Symphonic’s catalog included in the platform. Pin away!” says Jorge Brea, Symphonic’s Founded & CEO.
What does this mean for Symphonic clients?
