About Bonsai

Launched in 2022, Bonsai helps recording artists engage and monetize their superfans in new ways. Fans submit questions, and artists record answers to their favorite questions, creating audiograms that fans can share, collect, and own.

Since launch, a cohort of thirty emerging and rising artists have been granted access to leverage Bonsai, including Def Jam’s Amir Obè, Australian-bred, The Faim, former Now United member, Diara Sylla, Fly By Midnight, and The Holdup.

What does this mean for you?

This collaboration will enable Symphonic artists to unlock early access to Bonsai’s marquee product, audiograms – audio recording responses to fan prompts and questions that get paired with visual generative art to form 1-of-1 collectibles. Artists’ top fans prompt, play, share, and own these audiograms, which the Bonsai team likens to fan-owned digital merch that can be consumed by everyone.

How does it work?

Fans pay the artist’s support price to submit a question or prompt such as, “what inspired you to write this verse?”, or, “how is your upcoming album going to be different from prior projects?”. Once the artist records a response, fans receive an audiogram that, if they choose, can be minted as an NFT, unlocking both authenticated ownership of that content, as well as potential for future income for both fans and artists, in the form of royalties.
