About LAMC
The Latin Alternative Music Conference has long been one of the most important meeting points for Latin music, culture, and industry. What started as a space for alternative Latin artists has grown into a major gathering for anyone looking to understand where Latin music is headed next.
Across the week, attendees can expect panels, workshops, showcases, mixers, and off-site events featuring artists and professionals across streaming, publishing, touring, marketing, media, and more. This year’s schedule includes conversations around storytelling, fan engagement, global touring, publishing, and growth strategy, along with showcases at venues like DROM, SOB’s, SummerStage in Central Park, and Crotona Park.
For independent artists and music professionals, LAMC is more than just another conference. It’s a place to build meaningful relationships across the Latin music ecosystem, discover what’s moving in the market, and connect with people who are actively shaping the next phase of the industry.
How To Prepare
LAMC moves quickly, and with panels, showcases, meetings, and off-site events happening throughout the week, a little planning goes a long way. Before you arrive, take time to review the schedule and map out the moments that matter most for your goals, whether that’s attending a specific panel, catching a showcase, meeting potential partners, or learning more about how Latin music is growing across global markets.
If you’re an artist, manager, or label, make sure your materials are easy to share. A clean EPK, updated streaming links, short artist bio, recent press, tour history, social links, and a few priority tracks can make a quick introduction much more effective. QR code cards, simple one-sheets, and direct links to your music are all helpful, but don’t overcomplicate it. The goal is to make it easy for someone to understand who you are, what you’re building, and why it matters.
And as always, don’t underestimate the follow-up. A five-minute conversation at LAMC can become much more valuable after the conference if you reconnect with context, share the right links, and keep the conversation moving.
