Got new music you want to get on Beatport? No problem! Here’s how to do it through Symphonic…
How To Get Your Music on Beatport
Before we dive inâŠ
Before you get started, make sure you own all the rights to your track. You should never make covers or use samples without the proper permission to do so. It can cause some major issues for you down the line, and in order for you to receive the royalties youâre rightfully owed, your songs need to be properly registered.
To ensure you do everything right here, we wrote an article that covers many common mistakes artists make during the song registration process. From not properly registering your co-writers to not providing your IPI number to entering incorrect metadata, there are many factors to keep an eye on to ensure proper licensing and publication moving forward.
Hit Up Your Distributor
Distributors (like us đ) handle music licensing and distribution, and pay streaming royalties to artists like you. To get your music onto Amazon Music, we can help. Weâre even on their official list of preferred distributors!
Once youâre ready to get started, you can dive in through our Symphonic Starter plan. With it, we distribute your music to the masses, collect royalties from DSPs, make payments to your collaborators, and more, all while you keep complete ownership of your music. This plan offers distribution to the largest network of DSPs, so you can get your music not only on Tidal but also on Spotify, Beatport, and even TikTok, Instagram, Thriller, and more.

Complete Your Marketing Drivers
If youâre a part of our Partner program, the most essential tool in helping Symphonic pitch your release to our DSP partners is through marketing drivers. If your deal with us includes Marketing, you can submit for âDSP Features & Playlist Pitchingâ via the SymphonicMS under the Marketing sub-menu.
Without these unique details, itâs almost impossible for our team to help your release stand out from the crowd. The more details that you can provide, the better chance youâve got at getting noticed and featured.
- If you have updates, youâre welcome to send these to us by selecting âUpdateâ on the marketing driver pitching form. (For a list of some of the best spotlights to include here, check out our Help Desk article right here.)
âHow long does it take for my release to go live?â
With us, it takes 1-2 days for your release to be delivered to any DSPs.
Then, we enable you to set a global release time if you want to. If not, new releases will go live usually around 12:00AM Eastern Time but, there may be some delays. In addition, some releases may go live based on the territory you are in.
- If you are in Australia and it is 12AM of the release date, you will see the release before Canada as they will show it live when it reaches 12AM on the release date of the release and so on, territory by territory.
- If your release doesnât show at 12AM, you may have to close the program entirely and then re-open it.
- If your release still doesnât show, it may not be live for any other reason, so feel free to create a ticket.
In ConclusionâŠ
If you arenât currently a Symphonic client, itâs never too late to apply! If you arenât quite ready for our Partner plan, our Starter plan may be a better path for you. Symphonic Starter gives you the ability to keep 100% of royalties while accessing more tools and analytics than any other distributor. We help you grow your music, collect royalties, and split payments, all while you maintain the rights to your music.
We hope this helped! Good luck.
