X CLUB.
“The sound of X CLUB., the dance production duo of Ben Clarke and Jesse Morath, is not easily defined. Inspired by early 90s techno all the way through to future-facing drum’n’bass, X CLUB. has carved out a space entirely their own thanks to their authentic and eclectic take on dance music with serious consideration for underlying groove… X CLUB.’s sets are at once precise and considered as they are unrelenting and propulsive. The pair opt to guide their audience on a dynamic, energetic and unpredictable ride, gaining buzz as ‘one of the hottest new dance acts’, as labelled by BBC-R1’s Sarah Story, which is the result of friendship, authenticity, and of course, hard n’ fast tracks.” // Discover more on Spotify… 🔊
Lucy Gaffney
“Hailing from Belfast, Irish singer-songwriter Lucy Gaffney’s music conveys an abundance of hypnotic and sensuous charm with vocals that flow effortlessly over laid-back brooding lo-fi rock, enveloped in a bohemian haze… Recent single ‘Easy Come Easy Go’ captures your attention from the first note. It invites you into a world that preaches of the beauty in the mundane, everyday loneliness and coping with the anxieties of the unforeseen. It takes you on a journey immersed in distortion-driven guitars reminiscent of the Pixies that counter low evocative conversation in Lucy’s voice. Tilting a cap towards Elliot Smith, Lucy’s vocals evoke a warmth, longing and urgency that sparkle with a glimmer of hope from beginning to end. Lucy recorded the track in her home-studio in Liverpool in 2021 and it was produced by her brother Thom Southern.” (Bio via Breaking Tunes). // Discover more on Spotify… 🔊
