Symphonic Announces Key Leadership Promotions to Drive Expansion and Grow Talent Roster
Growing Stronger for 2025 and Beyond
We’re proud to announce that we’ve promoted Steve Lewis to Senior Director, UGC & Video, Jakub Alexander to VP, A&R and Client Development, Jon Mizrachi to VP & Head of Sync for Bodega Sync, and Laura Catana to Director of Content and Social Media Strategy. 🔥
These promotions come as Symphonic continues to grow its global presence and elevate its services for independent musicians. Lewis, Alexander, and Mizrachi will report to Randall Foster, Chief Creative Officer, while Catana will report to Janette Berrios, VP of Corporate Marketing.
About Our Newly Promoted Leaders
Jakub Alexander, who joined in 2018, has played a key role in signing top talent such as ODESZA, Tycho, and Machine Girl. As VP, A&R and Client Development, he will oversee the Deals team and continue growing Symphonic’s artist and label roster.
“In my time at Symphonic so far, I am very proud of the many labels and artists I’ve been able to
bring in alongside my incredible team,” explains Alexander. “Thank you to leadership for the
recognition and opportunity to move up and lead a part of Symphonic’s ever-growing presence.”
Laura Catana, who joined in 2023, has led Symphonic’s social media and marketing initiatives. As Director of Content and Social Media Strategy, she will further amplify Symphonic’s brand and artist community engagement.
“I’m thrilled to step into this new role and continue amplifying the incredible work we do at Symphonic. It’s an honor to be part of a company that truly cares about artists and is committed to empowering them with the tools and support they need to succeed. I look forward to driving our content and social media strategy to further elevate independent music and the voices behind it.”, says Catana.
Steve Lewis has been with Symphonic since 2019, leading the company’s UGC and video distribution efforts across platforms like YouTube, Meta, and TikTok. In his new role as Senior Director, UGC & Video, he will continue expanding Symphonic’s presence in the digital content space.
“Becoming Senior Director is a great honor as I continue working with our amazing team in the UGC and video departments,” says Lewis. “We’ll be delving into new relationships and growing our presence and prevalence on many platforms in 2025 and beyond, and I’m looking forward to thriving alongside my many wonderful colleagues at Symphonic.”
Jon Mizrachi, the driving force behind Symphonic’s sync division, has secured major placements for independent artists in campaigns for Jeep, Apple, and Pizza Hut. Now, as VP & Head of Sync for Bodega Sync, he will continue leading the company’s sync strategy and creative licensing efforts.
“As a newly appointed VP, I’m thrilled to join the senior leadership team at Symphonic and will
continue to work hard to deliver for our incredible sync roster,” says Mizrachi. “I’ve been working
on the indie side of the music business for twenty years, and I’m proud to be part of a company
that helps develop independent artists’ careers without taking ownership of their music. I’m
grateful to lead an amazing team, and we’re all geared up to keep the wins coming for our artists
in 2025!”
As Symphonic continues its rapid expansion, these leadership changes reinforce the company’s commitment to supporting independent artists at every level. With 2025 shaping up to be a big year, these promotions signal exciting new opportunities ahead.
We’re excited to embark on this journey with our Symphonic Fam and continue to elevate our community to new heights. 🌎 💫
