Symphonic Promotes Key Tech Leaders to Support Continued Innovation

We’re proud to announce the promotions of Colleen Shea to Director of Product Management, Mónica Rodríguez to Associate Director, QA, and Alek Perepelitca to Principal Software Architect!
These promotions come as Symphonic continues to grow and elevate its services for independent musicians. In addition, they reflect Symphonic’s ongoing investment in product innovation and platform reliability. Moving forward, Collean Shea will report to Ali Lieberman, VP of Product, while Rodríguez and Perepelitca will report to Eshan Shah Jahan, CTO.
About Our Newly Promoted Leaders
Based in Maryland, Collean Shea joined Symphonic in 2022 as Product Manager, Data Squad, before moving into the role of Group Product Manager in 2024 and now the Director, Product Management role. In her time at Symphonic so far, she has overseen the launch of Recoupments to manage complex payment agreements, a redesigned SplitShare to streamline artist payouts, an enhanced playlist pitch form, and YouTube UGC analytics to help users track third-party use of their music.

a natural leader and an exceptional product manager, with an eye for detail and a deep
understanding of how our technology can serve the needs of our clients. Colleen played a
pivotal role in launching critical analytics and royalties features, and in her new role, she’ll bring that same expertise and vision to our entire platform…”
Based in Colombia, Mónica Rodríguez joined Symphonic in 2021 as a QA Analyst before moving up to the roles of QA Lead, QA Manager, and now the Associate Director, QA role. She has played a key role in building and scaling QA processes, ensuring SymphonicMS remains a reliable platform for its clients. She also collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to define testing plans, refine acceptance criteria, conduct risk assessments, and provide QA LOE estimations, all aimed at improving product quality.
Based in Tampa, FL, Alek Perepelitca joined Symphonic in 2019 as a Senior Web Developer before moving up to the roles of Tech Lead, Software Architect, and now Principal Software Architect, and has served as a key engineering leader in Symphonic’s recent delivery infrastructure upgrades. He joined Symphonic with nearly 15 years of engineering experience under his belt, including most recently for the Mercari ecommerce app.
