When it comes to pushing boundaries, MUNNYCAT goes all-in. The LA-based DIY duo of K808 and Khaledzou has already built a reputation for crafting infectious, genre-hopping indie-pop heard in over 500 placements (Apple, Fenty, Versace, Xbox), and TikToks with 40+ million views. But with their debut full-length album ‘till death we do art’, they’re not just making music, they’re rewriting how we experience it. Let’s talk about it…
How MUNNYCAT is Reinventing the Vinyl Experience with ‘till death we do art’
The World’s First 3D Vinyl
At the heart of the release is a groundbreaking format: the world’s first-ever 3D vinyl record. Pressed on transparent red and blue split vinyl, the record itself doubles as the 3D glasses needed to unlock stereoscopic artwork printed in the packaging. Even the “dead wax”, aka the unused portion of the disc that usually goes unnoticed, has been transformed into an integral part of the experience.
“As a part of our ‘make art out of everything’ ethos, we thought it’d be fun to turn even the unused parts of the record into something special,” the duo explains. “We learned how to design in stereoscopic 3D… The actual vinyl record IS the glasses.”
The result is more than a cool collector’s item; it’s an extension of their core belief that art should live everywhere, not just in the music.
The DIY Creative Process

That ethos runs through every aspect of till death we do art. The 14-track album, mastered at Abbey Road Studios, was written, produced, recorded, and engineered entirely by K808 and Khaledzou themselves. No outside writers. No guest producers. Just two artists following their instincts and pushing each other to make something bold.
“We’re both obsessed with making things, and obsessed with each other,” they explain. “Till death we do art isn’t just a title, it’s a vow.”
That obsession spills into everything they touch. From self-producing elaborate music videos (like the Red Dead Redemption-inspired visuals for “honest” or the revolution-fueled short film for “follow the leader”) to designing stereoscopic album art, every detail is built from scratch by the dynamic duo.
A Universe in the Making
Alongside the vinyl, till death we do art is available on cassette, CD, and even minidisc. A four-part docuseries dives deeper into the making of the record, while upcoming singles like “ditto” keep expanding the universe they’re building around their art.
And while the record itself is a huge milestone, it’s just one piece of the larger promise MUNNYCAT has made: to keep creating, together, no matter what.
From TikTok virality to stereoscopic vinyl, from DIY videos to Grammy consideration in the Best Engineered Album category, MUNNYCAT proves again and again that independence isn’t a limitation; it’s the ultimate creative freedom. With till death we do art, they’ve taken that freedom to new heights, and we’re incredibly proud to have partnered with them in bringing it to life.
