What’s one thing you wish more artists knew before reaching out for support?
“That you should not rush your video release as soon as you receive the final video file. Instead, give yourself time to tease its release and promote its upcoming release.”
What’s one of the most common support questions you get?
“Can I get login access to my Vevo channel?”
“No! Vevo manages its channels and does not allow artists to log in and have access to them. However, as your content provider to Vevo, we can make changes to the Vevo channel on your behalf.”
“And if you have an Official Artist Channel on YouTube with your Vevo channel linked to it, you can use the Official Artist Channel filter to view analytics for videos uploaded to your Vevo channel…”
“To use filters, select the Official Artist Channel filter from the menu at the top of your Analytics tab in YouTube Studio.”
What’s a common mistake artists make that’s easy to avoid with the right prep?
“Not having a marketing plan with clear release dates and strategies.”
“We have SO many resources on our blog to help with this! Plus, we recently launched our Release Campaign Builder tool that creates custom plans for you. There’s really no excuse not to have a plan these days.
Can you share a moment when you felt you really made a difference for an artist?
“Scoring Vevo playlist pickups for our client videos always puffs me up with pride like a Video Distro Mama Hen.” 🫶
“And I always get so many nice email replies with how excited they are to share the placement! It’s the best feeling.”
What’s been the most rewarding part of working at Symphonic?
“Working with truly talented musicians and artists, and being exposed to a delicious melting pot of genres of music and styles of video.”
