What To Know Before Attending Conexión Mexico

Date: August 27th, 2024

Location: Morelos Theatre in Aguascalientes, Mexico (in addition to 4 other cities across Mexico)

FIM Guadalajara, hand in hand with Spotify, created Conexión Mexico as an initiative to tour Mexico between August and November, bringing knowledge and trends in the music industry to different cities. During this tour, conferences and talks will be offered completely free of charge, in which industry professionals will share innovative ideas and key strategies in five cities. In Aguascalientes, Oaxaca, Ciudad Juárez, Mérida, and Culiacán, attendees will learn from industry experts as well as the local music scenes, and learn about topics like monetization, royalties, digital tools, festival management, digital marketing and touring.

The event we will be attending takes place in Aguascalientes, featuring our very own Mariela Millán, DSP Manager, A&R and Client Manager for Symphonic, Mexico. 🇲🇽✨

How To Prep

Before you go, it’s important you plan ahead. We recommend making a schedule of the events, panels, performances and showcases you want to attend so you can make the most of your time. In addition, make sure to bring all your networking and promotional essentials like business cards, a notebook, pen, some merch items if you have ’em, demo CDs, or whatever else you think will help you make a lasting impression and perform your best.
