What To Know Before Attending FIM GDL
About FIM GDL
Date: February 26th – March 1st
Location: Guadalajara, Mexico
FIM GDL (Feria Internacional de la Música de Guadalajara) is an annual music conference and festival held in Guadalajara, Mexico. Organized by the University of Guadalajara, it focuses on sustainability, innovation, and the cultural and social development of music. The 2025 edition is scheduled from February 26th to March 1st at the Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas.
FIM GDL offers a diverse program, including conferences, workshops, showcases, networking sessions, speed meetings, and specialized gatherings. It’s a hub for industry professionals and enthusiasts to discuss the future of music and explore various cultural expressions.
How To Prep
Before the conference, it’s important you plan ahead. We recommend making a schedule of the events, workshops, and performances you want to attend so you can make the most of your time. When it comes to the conference itself, you’ll want to bring all the networking and promotional essentials like your business cards, a notebook, pen, some merch items if you have ’em, demo CDs, or whatever else you think will help you make a lasting impression and perform your best.
This event offers a ton of great workshops, networking mixers, panels, and more, so try to attend as many as you can and take notes you can look back on later. After the conference, make sure to follow up with all the cool people you connected with via email or socials! Speaking of socials, it won’t hurt to post about your experience and engage with other attendees who’re posting about it too.
The more connections you make, the better!
