About The Great Escape

The Great Escape is widely considered the UK’s most essential new-music industry conference, and in 2026, it’s celebrating 20 years of helping set the agenda for what’s next in music.

Returning to Brighton from May 13th – 15th, TGE 2026 brings together artists, executives, policymakers, and cultural leaders for three days of insight, debate, discovery, and connection. It’s one of those rare events where you’ll find emerging talent playing their first international showcases while industry conversations are happening just down the street.

The conference is designed to reflect the full music ecosystem, with a programme built alongside a wide range of collaborators and trade partners who bring their own expertise, networks, and perspectives into the mix. In practice, that means a schedule packed with panels, discussions, and networking opportunities that feel current and actually relevant to what’s happening in the industry right now.

At the same time, the showcase side of TGE is just as important. With performances happening across venues throughout Brighton, the event is known for spotlighting artists on the verge of breaking, making it as much about discovery as it is about business.
