Here’s everything you need to know…
Introducing Symphonic NEXT: Expanding Access to Catalog Deals, Advances, and Strategic Capital
About Symphonic NEXT
Symphonic NEXT is a new program built to support independent artists, labels, and rightsholders as they think more strategically about their catalogs, revenue, and long-term growth.
NEXT is all about access. Access to capital, access to experienced partners, and access to opportunities that go beyond traditional distribution.
This initiative builds on the work Symphonic has already been doing behind the scenes, supporting advances, catalog deals, and relationships with investment partners across the music industry. We’re bringing that into a more structured, accessible program for our clients.
Through Symphonic NEXT, clients can explore a range of financial and strategic options depending on their goals and where they are in their careers:
- Royalty Advances: Access capital based on your catalog’s performance without giving up ownership, helping fund new releases, marketing, or broader business growth.
- Partial or Full Catalog Deals: Work toward selling or partnering on your catalog, either directly with Symphonic or through our network of aligned investment partners.
- Catalog Optimization: Increase the value of your catalog before pursuing a deal through things like metadata cleanup, revenue audits, DSP visibility improvements, playlisting strategies, and rights administration.
- Strategic Partnerships: Connect with partners who can help expand your reach, unlock new opportunities, and support long-term growth.
How Does It Work?
Designed to be flexible and tailored to each client, the process starts with a conversation. You’ll share your goals, your catalog, and what you’re looking to achieve.
From there, our team evaluates the opportunity and provides strategic recommendations based on your situation.
There’s no obligation to move forward. The goal is to give you a clear understanding of your options so you can make informed decisions about your catalog and business.
More than ever, independent artists and labels are thinking beyond just releasing music. They’re thinking about ownership, long-term value, and how to build sustainable businesses. Symphonic NEXT is built to support that shift.
“Symphonic NEXT is a natural evolution of our platform and the work we’ve already been doing to support our clients beyond distribution,” says Jorge Brea, CEO of Symphonic. “Our goal is to provide independent artists, labels, and managers with access to capital and partnerships that help them build long-term, sustainable businesses.”
A Strategic Step Forward
Leading this initiative is Michelle Garramone, Symphonic’s Head of Strategic Partnerships, who brings over 15 years of experience across catalog strategy, artist development, and business growth. Her work focuses on connecting artists and rightsholders with the right partners, opportunities, and strategies to maximize long-term value.
Garramone joined Symphonic earlier this month to help expand the company’s work in catalog deals and strategic partnerships, with Symphonic NEXT marking the first dedicated initiative in that effort. She also oversees relationships with catalog owners, investment funds, brand partners, and other strategic collaborators worldwide.
“Symphonic NEXT reflects our continued focus on building meaningful relationships across the music and investment communities,” says Garramone. “We’re working closely with both rightsholders and capital partners to identify opportunities, optimize assets, and structure deals that make sense for everyone involved.”
