📆 When: June 1-2, 2026

About Premios Tu Música Urbano Mix

Premios Tu Música Urbano launched in 2019 to spotlight urbano at a time when reggaetón, Latin trap, and related genres were dominating global streaming but still underrepresented in traditional award spaces. Since then, the event has grown alongside the genre, becoming a consistent touchpoint for both fans and the industry.
The newer “Mix” concept builds on that foundation, reflecting how today’s artists are no longer confined to a single sound. Urbano continues to intersect with Afrobeats, pop, electronic, and regional styles, and the convention is designed to mirror that shift. It creates space for conversations around collaboration, audience growth, and what’s actually driving momentum across streaming platforms and global markets.
As the ecosystem around Urbano expands, the convention offers a more focused setting for industry connection, sitting alongside the awards show but centered on the business and evolution of the genre.
How To Prep
Premios Tu Música Urbano Mix moves quickly, with activity spread across programming, networking moments, and surrounding events tied to the awards. Taking time to plan ahead can help you stay focused and make the most of your time on the ground. Look into the schedule, note any key sessions or events, and leave room for spontaneous opportunities that tend to pop up throughout the week.
When it comes to promo materials, keep things simple and easy to share. Digital-first tools tend to work best in these environments. QR code listening cards, business cards linked to your Spotify, Apple Music, or EPK, stickers with QR codes, and other lightweight materials can make it easy for people to quickly access your music and remember you after a quick interaction.
A lot of the value from events like this happens after it’s over. Following up with the people you meet, staying active on social, and continuing the conversation can help turn brief connections into something more meaningful.
