A Step-by-Step Guide to Managing Your Profiles Across Major Music Platforms
Amazon for Artists
Amazon Music for Artists gives you access to detailed streaming analytics, audience insights, and control over your artist profile, including your profile photo, background image, bio, and more. These tools are here to help you better understand who’s listening, where they’re listening from, and how your music is performing across Amazon Music and Alexa-enabled devices.
Here’s how to claim your profile:
- Visit Amazon Music for Artists on the web or download the mobile app.
- Sign in with your Amazon account or create one if needed.
- Search for your artist profile and select it.
- Choose your role (Artist, Manager, or Team member) and provide the required verification details.
- You can speed up verification by connecting your distributor account (when available) or linking official social media accounts.
- Submit your request and wait for Amazon’s review, which typically takes a few days.
Once your claim is approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email and access to your artist dashboard.
Beatport
Beatport allows artists and labels to claim and manage their artist profiles through Manage My Beatport, where you can control how your name, image, and bio appear across the platform. Claiming your profile ensures your releases are properly attributed and gives you the ability to keep your artist page up to date.
Here’s how to claim your profile:
- Sign in to your Manage My Beatport account.
- Navigate to the artist management area and select the option to claim an artist profile.
- Search for your artist name, select the correct profile, and complete the requested verification details.
- Submit your request and wait for Beatport’s review and approval.
Approval timelines can vary, but the process typically takes anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. And once your profile is approved, you’ll be able to upload a new artist image and update your bio to better reflect your brand and releases.
⚡️ NOTE: Beatport recommends artist images be at least 590 × 404 pixels, with support for larger images scaled up to 3000 × 2054 pixels for best quality.
In addition, keep in mind that keeping your Beatport profile current is especially important for electronic and dance artists, where accurate branding and discoverability play a big role in visibility across charts and genre pages.
Spotify for Artists
You should already have one, but if not, you’ll need to create a Spotify for Artists account or log in using an existing account. Once signed in, just click Get Access and search for your artist profile using your artist name or a link to your music on Spotify. If your music is already on Spotify, your artist profile should appear no problem. Next, you’ll have to verify your identity. You can do this by linking official social media accounts or by confirming your connection to the artist through distributor access/ additional verification details. After submitting your claim, Spotify will review the request, and once approved, you should get a confirmation email.
Now that your claim is approved, you can update your profile by logging into the Spotify for Artists dashboard. From there, you can upload a profile picture (we recommended resolution of 2660 × 1140 pixels), write or update your bio, add social media links, and highlight specific songs, albums, or playlists using the Artist’s Pick feature. Then, you can also add tour dates and merch, helping fans stay up to date on upcoming shows and purchase merch directly where they already listen to your music.

Apple Music for Artists
To claim your profile on Apple Music, you’ll first need to sign up for Apple Music for Artists and create an Apple ID if you don’t already have one. Next, select Request Artist Access and search using your iTunes Store artist page link. Now, you can also search by entering your artist name or the name of one of your albums. And if you’re having trouble finding your page, you can locate the correct link in Apple Music or the iTunes Store by following these steps:
- Select the artist or release you’re trying to claim.
- Click the More button.
- Choose Share, then Copy Link.
- Paste the copied artist or album link into the Find an Artist field during the application process.
- Select one of your albums to confirm you’re claiming the correct page. You must be listed as the primary artist on the release to successfully claim the profile. Featured artists are not able to claim artist pages.
From there, choose your role (Artist, Manager, or Label Rep) and complete the remaining application fields. The more information you provide, the easier it is for Apple to verify and approve your request.
TIDAL Artist Home
TIDAL also allows artists to claim and manage their profiles, giving you full control over your artist page. To claim your profile, head over to their TIDAL Artist Home site and sign up or log in with your TIDAL account. Then, search for your artist profile and submit a claim request. Doing so gives you the ability to do things like:
